At Haslam Park Primary School, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to be a fully inclusive school where every child is welcomed, valued and supported to achieve their very best. We hold high aspirations for all pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and we are committed to ensuring that no child is left behind.

We provide high-quality, personalised support for pupils with SEND, enabling them to access an ambitious and engaging curriculum alongside their peers wherever possible. Our school is well regarded within the local community for the strength of our SEND provision and the positive relationships we build with families. We work closely in partnership with parents and carers, recognising them as key contributors to their child’s success.

We understand that receiving a SEND diagnosis can feel overwhelming. At Haslam Park, families are never alone. Our experienced and caring staff offer clear guidance, reassurance and ongoing communication, and we foster a supportive parent community where families are able to share experiences and offer mutual support.

We provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment in which all pupils feel secure, respected and confident to take risks in their learning. Teaching is carefully adapted to meet individual needs, and appropriate strategies, interventions and reasonable adjustments are used to ensure pupils with SEND make strong progress from their starting points.

Our curriculum is ambitious, meaningful and inclusive. It is thoughtfully designed to promote achievement, independence and personal development for all learners. Through carefully planned, holistic learning experiences, pupils are supported to develop academically, socially and emotionally, enabling them to thrive both in school and beyond.

As a result, pupils with SEND at Haslam Park are happy, well supported and make positive progress. They feel a strong sense of belonging, are included fully in school life, and are well prepared for the next stage of their education.
