Keeping Safe at Haslam Park

Every Child Safe, Every Voice Heard

At Haslam Park Primary School, the safety, welfare and wellbeing of every child are at the heart of everything we do.

We believe that children thrive when they feel safe, valued, listened to and supported by trusted adults. Our commitment to safeguarding goes beyond meeting statutory requirements. It is embedded in our school culture, our relationships, our curriculum and the everyday decisions we make.

We recognise that the children and families within our community have different experiences, strengths and needs. Our approach is therefore proactive, inclusive and child-centred, ensuring that potential concerns are recognised early, appropriate support is available and every child's voice is heard.

We work closely with parents, carers and external agencies to provide support, guidance and protection. We also equip children with the knowledge and confidence to recognise risks, develop healthy relationships, stay safe online and know where to turn when they need help.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. Our ambition is not simply to protect children from harm, but to help them develop the confidence, understanding and resilience to keep themselves and others safe.

On this page, you will find information and resources about safeguarding, online safety, Early Help, family support and other important issues affecting children's safety and wellbeing.

If you have any concerns about a child's safety or welfare, please contact our safeguarding team through the school office on 01204 333393.

Together we explore, learn and grow.
